Community News
Your site can have a blog, and individual members can have their own blogs, too!
Visitor Learns about AMS News Feature
If you were expecting to read some exciting news, then we're sorry for playing with your emotions.

This is really a demonstration of the built-in newsletter function of our system. Your alumni site can have its own online newsletter. Articles are easily added with just a web browser, and you can include graphics in any article. No technical skills are needed; just point-click-publish!

Everything is managed on user-friendly forms; no HTML knowledge is assumed. The adjacent graphic shows the editing tool with this article loaded. Click it for a larger view.

You can selectively allow members to write articles in the News (blog), which articles will carry their by-lines and link to their profiles automatically. Your friends and classmates can be connected via the Web as never before.

(Contact us for a tour of the editing tools. This capability also allows the operator of a site-network to assign others certain content creation, management and other tasks. This status is only valid during guided tours. The example shows the current article in edit mode.)
Daily Bruin Alumni News
We're happy to welcome the alumni of the UCLA Daily Bruin, an award-winning newspaper that will soon celebrate its 100th anniversary.

The Bruin began as an adjunct part of the UC Berkeley newspaper shortly after the Los Angeles campus was founded in 1919.

Active alumni span the 20th Century from the 1950s and continue into the 21st. All former staff are invited to join as readers, reporters or editors. Contact the staff for more information.

Blog Post Flexibility
The community blog is very flexible, with automated placement of text and graphics, links to member (author) records and profiles and automatic archiving of prior posts by the editor(s) and members.

Upload a graphic for each post, or refererence external graphics. Automatically thumbnail uploaded graphics for rapid delivery and flexible layout. (Click the image for a larger copy.)

Set the blog to accept comments by members, the public, or no one, and the same setting is available on each post.

Getting long-winded? No problem, just insert a break point, and the system will chop your text and provide a "more" link to the full text. This lets you display more posts on the "front page" of your blog. (There IS more.)

Dawgs Soar over Eagles
In a startling upset, our Dawgs defeated the Eagles of Western last weekend. This was the first time in eleven outings that the locals had beaten the always dominant team from Western.

Coach Johnson said "This game was a career highlight for me."

Veteran player Bob Nevermind scored 37 to lead the team to victory.
